As a multi-hyphenate with entrepreneurship, fashion, and entertainment roots, Janel Carrington captures inspiration for quality living through style, beauty, and purposeful living. She has a bachelor’s degree in Film, Video, and Media Communications from Western Michigan University. Janel is a model signed with Select Model Management and Helen Wells Agency, and has lived and worked internationally in Cape Town, South Africa, throughout her modeling career. Janel has worked in her family’s business since the age of 14 and is co-owner of Chicago’s Kilwins Chocolates Fudge and Ice Cream. She is fueled by the power of becoming more than just a cover girl by building upon her family’s legacy and creating her own.

Janel’s journey wasn’t easy. Her rejections and failures inspired her to take full control of her own career, and she now has partnerships with brands shed always hoped to work with, such as Savage X Fenty, AKIRA, SKIMS, Adidas,Pretty Little Thing, and more. She as worked on film sets as a background actor, to being the set coordinator behind the scenes of FOX’s hit series, “Empire.” Janel transformed herself from a girl who did not believe in herself, to holding the reins of ownership to her family business. Janel looks in the mirror and knows she can design the life she wants for herself. She embraces humility and triumphs.
